The Law of the Rubber Band

Rubber_bands - adjustedIf we aren’t growing, we are dying. That’s true in business, personal, or spiritual life. John Maxwell, in his book The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, outlines 15 laws for continual growth that can be applied to all areas of your life.

The one I want to focus on is the “Law of the Rubber Band.” It simply states that the rubber band is only effective and does what it was created to do when it is stretched. The only way that you are going to achieve success in life is to continue to stretch past your comfort zone. Though uncomfortable at first, you will find greater satisfaction knowing that you are growing versus accepting the status quo.

So are you comfortable making the same amount of money you did last year—even though the prices of everything else continue to rise? How are you going to make that happen? Five more interviews this week? One extra sale per week? I’m not saying it will be easy, but it will certainly be worth it.

If you have the drive and the willingness to do whatever it takes to reach the next level in building your book of business with Security National, but don’t know how to take that next step, contact your local manager. They will be more than happy to help you establish a game plan to make 2018 your best year yet.

As always, thank you for your continued contribution to the Home Service Division’s success.
